A hidden garden on the road to Santiago

Antas Guest House is located in Antas, Esposende, in a building built in 1860 by the Baron of Maracanã after his return from Brazil.

The spectacular original architecture of this century-old building is characterized mainly by white walls, old stone and wood, where light is always present.

The area occupied by the guest house has been specially restored, respecting the architectural heritage as much as possible, resulting in a simple and cozy atmosphere. We have created a comfortable, welcoming and familiar environment so that our guests feel at home.

The guest house's vast garden is a lovely place to relax, read, sunbathe or simply contemplate nature.

Listening to music, watching TV, reading a book, going for a walk or simply relaxing in one of the communal areas are some of the activities you can enjoy.

The layout is very particular, with a large patio communicating with the different spaces. The rooms follow the orientation of the Camino de Santiago Celeste, the Milky Way, on the date of the prophet's birthday. Starting with the first room, the Sagittarius, the rest line up and end with the Perseus.

You can choose one of our cozy double rooms to stay in.

The Antas Guest House is located in the middle of the Camino de Santiago, halfway between Esposende and Viana, making it the ideal place to regain strength after a pilgrimage.

It is also strategically located for getting to know the north of Portugal. Situated 50 meters from the EN13, it's easy to get here, and it's also very close to the A28 access junction (IC1).
